We would like to honor our seniors with a reception immediately following the meet. This will be their last home meet, please help us to make it special. All wrestlers and wrestleretts are asked to bring a dish to share (chicken fingers, meatballs, finger sandwiches, spinach dip, veggie & fruit tray, ect). Cake will be provided. November 11, 2008 - From Coach Rivera
Paperwork has begun to be sent home for parents to review sign and return to me ASAP.
The following three things have been sent-
· Informational sheet
· Code of Conduct
· Registration (Dues) Booster Handout
Ask your wrestlers for these documents. I have extras if they need another copy.
We have bought new uniforms and are in the process of paying our debt off. We need everyone to pay their 150.00 dues AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If you are having a financial crisis at this time -we are willing to work out some sort of plan. We just need everyone to contribute. Checks are to be made out to Kennesaw Mountain Takedown Club.
Wrestlers are beginning to experience the everyday grind of practicing at a high level. Please bare with them as they attempt to manage their time and understand what needs to be done after practice in order to maintain appropriate grades in their classes. We've had several quit because their grades have slipped, it is a easy routine.
Home at 7:30 or earlier - shower, eat, and homework/study. If they are spending time watching TV, listening to the radio, socializing on the phone-then yes their grades will probably drop. It is very easy to keep the grades at whatever percentage they had before wrestling.
September 29, 2008 - The coaching staff at KMHS is working to get all the information together for the Jr. Wrestling Season. We will begin the season in October. Please look under the Y.P. News tab for current information. If you wish to be added to the Jr. Wrestling email distribution list, please send an email to mmfpeach@yahoo.com and you will receive updates as they are available. 2008 Team Goals
The booster club is $150 to join and is what keeps the wrestling program running without having to ask for money from each family throughout the year. Please make sure that you send in your check and that it is made out to KMHS Takedown Club. I know that this is a busy time of year, but we need to have 100% participation and commitment from each family. Our cost of $150 is very reasonable compared to other sports at KMHS. Along with your membership, you will receive two shirts that will be embroidered with the KMHS wrestling logo to show your team spirit. I hope that you all understand the cost that it takes to purchase everything your wrestlers receive each year and will make this commitment to the team. This is not for the Jr. Program as you have already paid to wrestle, but if you chose to join the Booster Club, that would be great too.
